Families ETC Vision

Families ETC will be the premier, family-driven organization in the

state of Illinois and will advocate for all families who

 have behaviorally challenged children.

Families ETC

is an organization committed to building a stronger community by providing education, support and assistance to:

• Families of children with complex emotional and behavioral challenges.
• The community at large in order to reduce the stigma associated with mental illness while creating greater understanding and opportunities for the affected families.
• Partners, such as schools, mental health professionals, community agencies, the juvenile justice system.

 Families ETC Believes

• All children should live in a community that is respectful of cultural differences.
• All children should have access to supportive environments in which to learn and grow.
• Parents should have access to peer to peer support early, when they need it most.
• Families are and should be recognized as valued partners in decisions about their child.
• All adults should have access to resources, strategies and tools in which to support children and young adults so they may grow to their fullest potential.
